Graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree from PUCMM (Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra) and holds a MBA with concentrations in Finance and Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Began his professional career in Civil Engineering in the year 2000 as a field engineer in the construction of the Acropolis Center and Citibank Tower Project (Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep.). During the next four years, Freddy held various positions at Ingenieria Estrella S.A., a renowned local construction company. At Ingenieria Estrella, Freddy started as an Estimator and was successively promoted to Project Supervisor, Project Manager, and Division Manager.
During his MBA program, Freddy worked as an intern for Merrill Lynch’s Rochester Private Client Group. In 2005, he took on a role in the areas of Real Estate Development and Finance through his participation as a partner of Grupo MAC, a local development and investment group. At Grupo MAC, he held the position of Director of Finance and Planning and successfully managed the financial structuring of several real estate projects. Freddy has also acted as financial advisor for important projects and companies in the Dominican Republic including the negotiation of financing agreements with local and foreign financial institutions, negotiations for mergers and acquisitions, and the realization of several feasibility studies, business plans and company valuations.
His professional strengths include a proven ability to manage construction projects and to evaluate, structure and manage all financial aspects of any project or enterprise.
